  Slade Tops Cottage - Dreadful - on arrival comment was made about my Husbands Health by the owner and further reference made 2 days later. We had travelled for 5 hours and just wanted to get in the cottage but were first shown the recycling procedures. We were told that the back door in the kitchen did not shut properly. We were told that recent droppings had been noticed so a mousetrap was in the kitchen cupboard. We were not allowed to control the central heating which was off peak and we were cold in the evenings and hot at night - we were told we could use the wood burner but did not want to. The DVD/Blue Ray was not in the cottage or the DAB Radio as advertised. We left after a few days very upset as we are both in our 60's and were on our honeymoon. Cannot believe this is a 5* cottage the week previous we were in a beautiful 3* cottage. No comparison.
